The World's First Solutions Journalism Study Abroad Program is Here
We organize aspiring journalists in underrepresented communities around the world which are responding to chronic social or environmental problems to learn how to produce solutions stories.
"Where do I begin? I was really craving mentorship from journalists who saw reporting in a similar light: in-depth reporting that broadens perspectives. Through SOJOWB, I gained confidence and fostered my curiosity and desire to keep learning. I was also challenged through Stephanie's encouragement to pursue a story much bigger than me - Stephanie has guided - and still guides me post-program - on how to efficiently approach this reporting. She's been there to steer me back in the right direction when I get fixated on things that
make the story even more complex. Through her teaching, I'm able to refocus myself on
the why of the story - a skill that's proven beneficial in my reporting back home.
SOJOWB has a really special place in my heart and I hope I can make them proud!
